Barwon Timber offers end matching for our timber cladding profiles. End matching can reduce waste and installation time.

End Matching Timber Cladding

End matching is a type of join between timber battens. When end matched, the timber boards and battens have a tongue machined on one end of the board and a groove machined on the other end of the board.

Compared to butt joining timber, end matching is a stronger and a more waterproof joint.

End matching can reduce waste and installation time as you don’t have to trim battens or boards to join over a stud, mountain rail or fixing batten.

Barwon Timber’s end matching process creates a neat interlocking profile. This creates self-supporting joins and enables you to locate joins between studs or battens.

Please note, we are unable to end match some internal profiles.
