Merch pine is a downfall grade of pine that does not meet structural requirements. It can therefore not be used for structural framing.

Merch Pine (Non Structural)

Merch pine is widely used for a range of non-structural internal applications including propping, noggins and trimming. Merch pine is a more cost-efficient option than standard structural pine. It is not recommended for load-bearing or visible applications.

Barwon Timber offers Merch pine in the following sizes:

  • 70 x 35mm
  • 90 x 35mm
