Dunnings Hoop Iron

Dunnings Hoop Iron is manufactured from Marine Grade 316 Stainless Steel for high corrosion resistance. It is used for bracing roofs, walls, ceilings, and floors. Holes are provided for both nails and tensioners where required. Dunnings Hoop Iron complies with the wall bracing rules of AS1684 Residential Timber-Framed Construction.

Barwon Timber stock the Dunnings Hoop Iron in a 30 metre roll with a 0.8mm thickness.

McIntyre Holistrap

TThe McIntyre Holistrap (Hoop Iron) is a general-purpose building product that is used as steel bracing for roofs, walls, ceilings and floors. It complies with the wall bracing rules of AS1684 Residential Timber-Framed Construction.

This Holistrap is available in 15m or 30m lengths in the following options:

  • 25mm x 0.6mm
  • 25mm x 0.8mm
  • 30mm x 0.8mm
  • 30mm x 1.0mm

MiTek MaxiBrace

The MiTek MaxiBrace is an innovative high-strength steel angle section, designed to brace timber framed walls in domestic construction.

The MiTek MaxiBrace is effective both as a compression and tension bracing system.

Available in 3.6m, 4.2m, and 4.8m lengths.

MiTek SpeedBrace

The MiTek SpeedBrace is the perfect solution for any home that needs to withstand high winds. A simple and quick fix, SpeedBraces can be applied in an 'X' or ā€˜Vā€™ pattern on top of your house's chords and bracing back towards the frame, providing maximum stability.

The MiTek SpeedBrace can be used in both low wind speed and cyclonic areas to brace the roof trusses or wall frames. Pre-punched and pre-tensioned with no turnbuckle required

The MiTek SpeedBrace is available in 3.6m, 4.8m, and 6.0m lengths.
