FAQs

Will you quote my renovation job if you can’t see the subfloor?

We can but you should get the subfloor looked at before proceeding to an order.

Can you quote the install only?

We only install with flooring bought from Barwon Timber. We go through a moisture test process of the timber floors to ensure you get the best installation results in any home or commercial property.

Do you supply and install floating floors?

Yes, you will need to contact our Showroom team for further information.

Can I install my floor over in ground heating systems?

Barwon Timber will not provide an installation service of floors over in-ground heating.

Should I test the moisture content of my concrete slab?

Yes, this should be done before the installation and laying of the timber.

What do you do if we’ve got existing doors and skirting?

The skirting can be removed and put back at the completion of the job. Or you can leave a 10mm gap from the skirting and put a 12mm fillet down.

What happens if the cabinetry in my house is already installed?

You should lay your flooring 10 mm from the edge of your cabinetry and conseal the gap with a fillet mould.
