SPAX-D, T-Star, 5 x 60mm, SS304 (A2)

The hardware team at Barwon Timber are pretty excited about the range of SPAX decking screws in store.  The range is engineered and manufactured in Germany.  There are a lot of distinct advantages engineered into Spax’ T-Star, 5 x 60mm, SS304 (A2)  decking screw.

• Twin thread with plain shank, pulls the board down and grips the joist creating a vice like grip that reduces board creak.
• Cylindrical head pulls into the timber with very low, to no splitting around the head.
• Engineered point allows for no pre-drilling in some timbers
• SPAX T-Star drive ensures a secure bit grip with no cam-out.

The stepped pre-drill is designed with no depth stop so the user only has to break the surface of the timber (1-2 mm) and the screw head will pull into the timber for a perfect finish every time.  These screws are designed for use in boards up to 140mm and are available in 304 grade stainless steel.
